Some friends of mine went down to Wheeler Dam and did some catfishing last night. They came back with some nice blues and a flathead. The flathead was about 2 pounds and the blues they caught went from 1 pound to about 8 - 10 pounds.
It is starting to warm up and time to start catching some catfish.
Catch you later

Good Deer signs
I have been watching the deer in the backyard for the last several weeks and haven't seen any bucks. Well that changed big time yesterday. In the morning I saw a year old buck with some smaller antlers( I know, they are still growing this time of the year). Then yesterday afternoon something caught my eye. I ran to get the binoculars and pulled them up. Low and behold I saw the widest set of antlers to date on the backyard bucks. He is well outside the ears already and is starting the upward trend. He could very well be a 8 - 10 point buck. When I get some pics I will post them on the blog.

Sorry it's been awhile
Sorry it took so long to return to the blog. Spring finally arrived and we have been busy everyday. We had some hunters come down from Michigan for the spring Turkey season. They did very well for the week they were here and also considering the weather that was here at the time. They endured rain, wind, & storms with hail.
The next project is to start prep work for the fall food plots. We will mow everything, spray, fertilize, and let sit for awhile. Also, need to move some stands, build some new ones, and clear some more brush. Bow season will open in September in Tennessee.
And lets not forget to spend some time fishing.
See ya'll later
