Chris Johnston of Team Searchaguide had a very good opening day of the Missouri Deer season. This 8 Point buck came out at 6:45 am and milled about for 5 minutes. Chris shot this buck just before he was getting ready to run when he was startled. He ran about 50 yards before he crashed.

Some friends of mine went down to Wheeler Dam and did some catfishing last night. They came back with some nice blues and a flathead. Well, we made it back. The administrator and I drove thru the ice storm that hit southern Missouri and northern Arkansas on Monday evening. Well after a 14 hour drive through snow and ice we arrived in Sebewaing Michigan. The forecast was dismal at best, but with only 2 days to fish the weather didn't matter. Went back to work yesterday. I had been off on vacation for 2 weeks. We went to Missouri to see our folks and enjoy Christmas with the family.If you like duck hunting, Missouri is the place to go.
