This 8 Point buck came out at 6:45 am and milled about for 5 minutes. Chris shot this buck just before he was getting ready to run when he was startled. They came back with some nice blues and a flathead. The administrator and I drove thru the ice storm that hit southern Missouri and northern Arkansas on Monday evening. That storm extended our trip by about 3 hours due to the bad road conditions. But we finally drove out of it around Collins, Missouri and was driving the speed limit in no time. We stayed at my parents house the next day and visited with them. The forecast was dismal at best, but with only 2 days to fish the weather didn't matter. With highs in the teens and lows being sub zero, we new the fishing would be tough ! They seemed to favor a yellow or green lead head jig tipped with a minnow. The fish we caught were all in the 3 to 4 pound range. All the big game seasons are closed and the small game seasons will close shortly. I had been off on vacation for 2 weeks. We went to Missouri to see our folks and enjoy Christmas with the family.If you like duck hunting, Missouri is the place to go. Lots of birds flying. The best spot I had seen was around the Lexington area on the Missouri river. Saw a few deer at my parents place outside of Clinton.
